1 1/2 cups basil, fresh 2 cloves garlic, peeled 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted (no oil) 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, fresh, grated 1/8 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, separated 1 large pizza crust, Brushed with olive oil & baked for 10 minutes at 400 degrees part skim milk mozzarella cheese |

Put basil, garlic, pine nuts and parmesan cheese in a blender or food processor. Turn the machine on and drizzle in the 1 tablespoon olive oil and add lemon juice to taste. Continue to puree until a smooth paste is formed. Use remaining 1/2 teaspoon olive oil to brush pizza crust and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove and spread pesto on crust. Bake with topping(s) of your choice. | ||
