Vanilla Pudding Printer Friendly version
 
2 cups milk, skim
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
Put milk in saucepan; bring to boil. Meanwhile, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks in a bowl. Add to milk, stir and let cook several minutes until thick. Take off heat and add vanilla. Optional: maple or almond flavoring can be added instead of vanilla. For chocolate pudding, add 6 ounces of chocolate chips.
